DONNA DRAKE (Director & Musical Staging)

Donna Drake began her career as a singer-dancer, making her Broadway debut with the original production of A Chorus Line. She choreographed Catherine Zeta Jones for the American Film Institute Awards Show 2009 and Betty White for AFI 2011. Broadway credits include Sophisticated Ladies, Woman of the Year, The Wind in the Willows, 5678-Dance and the original production of the 1940s Radio Hour. She served as Artistic Director for The Illyria Theatre Company, NYC, for several seasons. Her work has earned an Emmy nomination, 4 Drama Desk Nominations, 2 Mac Award Nominations and a Theatre World Award. As a Director-Choreographer, her credits include the children's television series for Disney, ''Johnny and The Sprites,'' starring John Tartaglia. Theatre credits include Newsical The Musical in NYC, Denver and the National Tour; the Broadway Company and tour of The Wizard of Oz, starring Mickey Rooney & Eartha Kitt; the Broadway Concert, Romance In The Dark, starring Jennifer Holliday; and the Broadway Cares benefit, Nothing Like A Dame during the years 2004 -- 2006. Off Broadway she has directed Splendora, Christmas With the Crawfords, Andrew Sisters-Hollywood Canteen, Boobs The Musical, Garland and Uninvited Company. National Tours and regional work include Rent, Chicago, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Hairspray, All Shook Up, Aida, A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Beauty and The Beast, Children of Eden, Lucky Guy, Jesus Christ Superstar, Damn Yankees, Chess, The Wiz and Tommy. She is currently working on a new Broadway bound musical called, Notre Dame de Paris. She is also co-writer and director for a new show called Well Strung which will begin a national tour in 2013 then continue to tour in Europe. A heartfelt thank you to MSL & JT.
